BricksUK Ltd is committed to providing a safe working environment for all employees. The consumption for these can impact health and safety as they may impair decision making, judgement or co-ordination.
A drug is classed as a legal or illegal substance, either prescribed or over the counter purchased or otherwise gained. This includes solvent abuse. Prescribed drugs and over the counter drugs will be acknowledged as legitimate but do need to be reported to a Line Manager.
Any employee found to be experiencing issues are encouraged to ask for help and support in dealing with the issue.
It is not in any way acceptable to be under the influence at work or consume alcohol or drugs during working hours - unpaid breaks are included in this. Appropriate action will be taken if employees are found to be in breach, this may involving reporting the issue to Police.
Staff are encouraged to report any issues they believe to be relevant to a Manager or higher, appropriate action will then be taken.
This policy will apply to all staff.
As BricksUK Ltd grows official policies and procedures will be put in place in relation to drug and alcohol use, information and training will also be provided during new employee inductions.
