Underslung Brick Arches - Tinting
Wienerberger have supplied Buff Brick Solids that as they are inherently red based clay before firing the red clay has burnt through to the bottom of the brick, needs tinting out so the brick on bed is all buff (so as you stand in the opening and look upwards the brick bed of the arch is buff coloured) :

I observed quite a few of the arches, and each of the arches are affected to different degrees, some only have a few bricks affected, others are more heavily affected. A cross section opposite, looking upwards at the bottom of the arches. (click on any to enlarge)
On the outside of the courtyard each of the openings on the bottom 2/3 floors have the soffits fitted, on the inside of the courtyard (see video below) have the soffits fitted to all openings. |

Scaffolding is to start coming down within a couple of weeks, in stages. So it would be best to plan to do some of the soffits high up and on the front of the building first, then returning to the site as fit before the rest of the scaffolding is taken down, they will tell us the stages for this. Failing this Wienerberger will have to also pay for a cherry picker.
